A heartbroken woman has appealed for a sentimental soft toy, called ‘Ducky’, to be returned to her by the thieves who ransacked her car.
The 22-year-old woman, who police say carried the toy everywhere, returned to her car yesterday to find a window was smashed and a holdall she had left inside was missing.
Her silver Vauxhall Corsa was broken into in St James Street, Daventry, at some time between 10am and 7.15pm.
Detectives say Ducky held “considerable sentimental value for the woman” as it was given to the woman by her late father.
Witnesses to the theft, or anyone with information about Ducky, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or alternatively ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
