Thieves failed in an elaborate bid to steal money from a cash point after using a silver Alfa Romeo in an apparent ram raid.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a ram raid, on Saturday between 2.45am and 3.15am on Whitehills Crescent, outside the Post Office.
A police spokesman said: “A silver Alfa Romeo was used to reverse into a cash machine outside the Post Office.
“The offenders failed to get access to the cash machine and are believed to have left the scene in a black Audi.”
