Detectives have revealed the names of two men who died in a crash on a county road last week, including a 22-year-old man from Northampton.
The two men died in the double fatal road traffic collision on the A43, between Corby and Duddington, last Tuesday.
The men have now been formally identified as Jevgenijs Draguns, aged 22, from Northampton, and Igors Zunda, aged 33, from Lincoln.
Both are Latvian nationals.
A police spokesman said: “The families of both men are being supported by specially-trained liaison officers and the incident continues to be investigated by the Collision Investigation Team.”
Jurijs Zunda, aged 42 and from Lincoln, will next appear before Corby magistrates on December 21 charged in connection with the deaths and other traffic matters.
A woman and a two-year-old boy, both seriously injured in the collision, remain in hospital but their injuries are not considered life threatening.
The victims were travelling in a silver Mazda 5 when the car crashed into a white DAF truck. The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
