A ‘small number’ of operations scheduled for Thursday have been rearranged and an outpatient clinic cancelled at Northampton General Hospital as a result of strikes by doctors.
Dr Sonia Swart, medical director at Northampton General Hospital said: “We have worked closely with our staff in order to ensure that there is minimal disruption on Thursday on the day of the planned industrial action.
“Most of our services are continuing as normal and all urgent and emergency work will continue unchanged.”
Dr Swart said that unless patients have heard from the hospital, if they are due to attend an appointment or be admitted to hospital on Thursday June 21, they should attend as planned.
