Saints prop Brian Mujati appears to have confirmed his departure from the club.
The Bulawayo-born tighthead has been strongly linked with a summer move to cash-rich French Top 14 team Racing Metro.
And in a conversation with a Saints fan on social networking site Twitter, Mujati said: “It’s done unfortunately, but I’ll pour my heart into this club until its time to say goodbye.”
Mujati passed the 100-appearance mark on Saturday, as he came off the bench in Northampton’s 10-9 Heineken Cup pool four win at Ulster.
The 28-year-old has become a firm fans’ favourite since arriving at Franklin’s Gardens in the summer of 2009, helping the club win the LV= Cup, reach three successive Premiership semi-finals and reach the Heineken Cup final.
Mujati is expected to be joined at Racing Metro by fellow Saints prop Soane Tonga’uiha, who has also been the subject of a lucrative offer.
And another player with Northampton links, former Saints second row Juandre Kruger will also reside in Paris from next season after his deal with Metro was announced on Tuesday.
