Police today revealed they were hunting a man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Northampton town centre.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl was in an alleyway off Abington Square, when a man described as being “possibly of Arabic ethnicity” sexually assaulted her.
The suspect had olive-coloured skin and was aged in his late twenties. He was between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in, with a muscular build, short black hair and a thick black moustache and beard. Police said he spoke with a “mixed Spanish and Asian accent”.
Detectives also want to speak to two women who were at the nearby bus stop in Abington Square at the time and who may have seen the victim and offender
Anyone with information about the sex attack, which happened between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, December 1, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
