A man was knocked unconscious by a punch to the face and robbed in a vicious attack in Northampton.
The attack happened between Billing Road and Wellingborough Road, near the hospital.
A 23-year-old man was walking along the road when he was approached by two men.
One punched him in the face causing him to lose consciousness. The men then stole his mobile phone and wallet.
Police say one of the men was wearing a “distinctive” baseball cap, with Daffy Duck eyes on and a yellow peak, like a duck’s bill.
A police spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Northampton on Thursday, January 3.
“The incident happened at around 5pm between Billing Road and Wellingborough Road, near to the hospital.
“A 23-year-old man was walking along the road when he was approached by two men. One of the men punched the victim in the face causing him to lose consciousness. While he was unconscious, the offenders stole several items from the victim’s coat pockets including his mobile phone and wallet.
“One of the offenders is described as a black man in his early 20s, about 6ft, with an average build and a pointy nose. He was wearing dark clothing. He was also wearing a distinctive baseball cap which is described as having Daffy Duck eyes and a yellow peak like a duck’s bill.
“The other offender is described as a white man in his early 20s, about 5ft 7ins, with an average build, dark eyebrows and an olive complexion. He was wearing dark clothing.”
