Sixteen Northamptonshire schools remain open despite snow

At least sixteen Northamptonshire schools have battled the snow to open their doors to pupils today.

Schools open today include:

Rectory Farm Primary School in Olden Road,

Rectory Farm, Upton Meadows Primary in Upton,

Duston Eldean Primary in Main Road in Duston,

Delapre Primary in Rothersthorpe Road in Far Cotton,

Sunnyside Primary in Reynard Way, Kingsthorpe,

Vernon Terrace Primary, Millway Primary,

Parklands Primary in Spinney Hill Road,

Woodvale Primary in Crestwood Road,

Brixworth Primary in Froxhill Crescent in Brixworth,

Barry Road Primary, Moulton College in Moulton,

Great Doddington Primary,

Studfall Infant and Nursery School in Rowlett Road in Corby,

and Isham C of E Primary in Church Street in Isham, Kettering.

Northampton Academy in Wellingborough Road is open for the A Level exam at 9am today and will be open today and all week to years 12 and 13 for independent study.

The school’s website said it will also be open to students in year 11 with exams this week.

The University of Northampton is also open to students today.

However more than 100 Northamptonshire schools have closed their doors today due to the heavy snow which fell over the weekend.
