Police have confirmed a man who was pronounced dead after his car crashed into a hedgerow off the A45 in Northamptonshire died of natural causes.
The 57-year-old man, who has not been named, died at around 10.10pm on Monday, on the westbound A45 close to the Irchester turning.
A black Vauxhall Corsa, which was being driven by the victim left the road and came to rest in the hedge.
A police spokesman today said the victim did not, however, die from injuries suffered in the crash.
The spokesman said: “A postmortem examination following the road traffic collision, on Monday at 10.10pm on the A45 westbound close to the Irchester turning, has concluded that the 57-year-old man who was driving the car died of natural causes, not as a result of injuries sustained from the collision.”
