A starting pistol was stolen from a car in Long Buckby, police have revealed.
The theft happened between 8pm on Tuesday and 8.15am on Wednesday in Brington Road. The thief broke into a parked car and stole a number of items, including the starting pistol and blank pellets.
The weapon is not dangerous but looks similar to a hand gun, police have said.
