The Wanted have been revealed as the final headline act which will play at this summer’s Alive@Delapre event in Northampton.

They will join James Morrison and Paul Weller and will headline the second of three nights of live music at Delapre Park from July 19 to July 21.

Lawson will join The Wanted as support on the Saturday night.

Last year, organisers announced Paul Weller would headline the Friday with James Morrison closing the event on the Sunday.

The Wanted have enjoyed a meteoric rise in the 18 months since the release of their first single All Time Low, which went to number one.

They have been the musical face of Comic Relief and in 2012 broke the notoriously difficult US market with two singles reaching the top five of the US billboard chart.

They have notched up 30 million YouTube views and they are now winning fans and breaking hearts in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes said: “We’re really looking forward to our show at Delapre Park. It should be a really great evening, especially with our mates Lawson as our very special guests.”

For more than three decades Weller, has been at the heart of the English music scene. Often known as the Modfather, his changing musical styles have reflected English culture.

Since his early years as a member of the Jam and The Style Council, he has forged an enduring solo career. Ten albums later and he’s going as strong as ever with last year’s critically acclaimed album release ‘Sonic Kicks’

Weller’s contribution to the British music scene has been recognised with numerous BRIT awards, an Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award and the Godlike Genius Award from NME.

Morrison’s first two albums Undiscovered and Songs for You, Truths for Me sold more than 4.5m copies and yielded ten singles including You give me something, Wonderful World and Broken Strings featuring Nelly Furtado.

Morrison, who was born in Rugby and went to school in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, has sold out arena tours and gigged across the world.

Full supporting line ups for each day will be announced in the run up to the event.

Tickets for Morrison and Weller are on sale now with tickets for The Wanted going on sale on 9am on Friday, February 15, and cost £29.50.

They are available from Royal & Derngate Theatres box office in Northampton or by calling 01604 624811.

There will be no transaction fee if bought in person from the box office.

Tickets will also be available from seetickets.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
