SUNDAY COMBINATION: Ryan gives it some Tapp as Cushion cruise

Ryan Tapp led the goal onslaught as Crown & Cushion strolled into the semi-finals of the Parker Cup with a 7-2 victory over Nene.

Tapp struck twice alongside strikes from Justin Ayre, Grant Murphy, Ben Harris, Gareth Francoise and Luke Abrahart.

Nene hit back through Matt Barron and Daniel Gatland.

The quarter-final between Spartak and Duston & Diamonds was abandoned after 70 minutes due to pitch conditions. Spartak were winning the contest 2-1.

In the Araglen Cup, Obelisk United Reserves progressed after pipping Hartwell Forest in a five-goal thriller, Dan Davies (2) and Graham Ahearn got the winning goals, Andy Fair and Paul Smith replied for Hartwell.

Harpole are through to the semi-finals of the MDH Teamwear Cup with a 6-2 success at Midshire Electrical.

Andrew Garrett and Jason Bradshaw scored for Midshire, but Harpole eased their way into the last four with goals from Jez Hindle (2), Josh Winters, Luke Tolworthy, Greg Ling and Robbie Latham.

AFC Dee failed to progress to the final of the NFA Sunday Vase as they were beaten 3-1 by Peterborough side Fletton United in their semi-final tie.

In the NTFA Plester Shield, Windmill Warriors bowed out at the quarter-final stage as they were swept aside 9-1 by Melbourne Arms.

Monks Park WMC are out of the Ken Parker Cup after losing 3-1 to AC Squirrels.

Rhys Coleman netted from the spot for Park but Squirrels came out on top with strikes from Josh Urquhart, Paul Edwards and Bobby Lane.

In the premier division, Blisworth bounced back to beat Blakesley 6-2, goals coming from Ollie Anderson, Andy Lovesy, Connor Brown (2), Andy Seaton and Ross Arundell.

Blakesley replied through James Sugrue and George Boniface.

Third-placed Sunnyside Corinthians saw off The Sunnyside 6-2 thanks to efforts from Kane Reynolds, Courtney Herbert (2), Lewis Leslie, Wes Emery and Max Gray, with Tom Bluck and Ryan Brown replying.

Leaders Standens Barn had to settle for a point as they drew 2-2 with Dynamo. Dean Lukeman and Alastair Durno netted for Dynamo with Charlie Wixon and Chris Davies levelling it up.

In division one, Fox & Hounds were 4-2 winners at Manfield Rangers. Jack Bates and Matt Symondson found the net for Rangers with Chris Aveyard 2, Jacob Gartland and Sam Knight winning the game for Hounds.

MDS Rangers had a field day as they hammered fellow strugglers Thorplands Club 81 11-4. Dave Bazeley, Stuart Reid, Stephen Grimley (3), Joe Lewis, Jake Moore (2), Niall Duffy (2) and Paul Goodall were the men in the goals for MDS, with Club hitting back through Colin Lee, Martin Uranie, Meshac Clements and Ben Walker,

St Margaret’s Reserves moved up one place with a 7-3 beating of Sunnyside Corinthians, with Tom Casey hitting four and Joe Moriarty a hat-trick, while Tom Anscomb also hit a treble for the losers.

No changes in division two as all the top sides won.

St Margaret’s A remain second after their 4-2 win at Devonshire Club. Darren Wright and Perry Whitney netted for Devonshire, but it wasn’t enough as Brett Manning, Jamie Walters, Marin Feasey and Ashley Inwood were all on target for Maggies.

Unbeaten third-placed side Roade were 2-0 winners over JWC Athletic thanks to strike from Craig Smith and Steve Carroll, while AC Squirrels Reserves thumped Thorplands Club 81 Res 12-0.

Outlet Sports also run riot over Monks Park WMC Reserves and won 11-2 thanks to goals from Justin Wilds (3), Stephan Chambers (3), Sam Lavell (3), Tom Wilds and Vince Shelton. Park’s consolations were scored by Dan Jones and Dean Ainsworth.

Billing United stays second in division three after a hard-fought 3-2 win over Zedi United. Billing’s match winners were Nathan Loudon, Liam Fox and Steve Addo, with Zedi hitting back through Marcin Kilma and Don Harris.

Golden Horse stuffed Brafield 7-2 as Liam Cosford (2), Charlie Whiting (2), Darren Andrews (2) and Gareth Errington found their shooting boots.

Obelisk United were 2-0 winners over FC Locomotiv Moulton with Luke Wilson and James Page on target.

In division four, Ross Bartley scored five times and Jamie Campbell hit a hat-trick as Workshouse thumped rock-bottom Standens Maestro 13-3.

Also finding the net were Alex Parkinson (2), Shaun Bellham, Phil O’Brien and Joe Mennell, with Gavin Harding’s hat-trick all Maestro had to show for their efforts.

Butcher Loco saw off Royals Reserves 3-0 thanks to two from Ben Spick and a Chris Moore single, while AFC Pioneers beat Victoria Park Rangers 4-0 with Geoff Davies, Chris Watkins, Matt Souster and Steve Atkinson on the mark.

Division five leaders South Northants had no problems as they beat Thorplands Club 81 A 6-1.

Martin Blackwell led the way with four goals, with singles scored by Rob Kirby and Dave Wright.

Second-placed The District suffered a blow as they were beaten 3-1 by lowly Sixfields Rangers.

Ady York scored for The District, but Rangers won it thanks to Conner Leason, Nick Floyer and Adam Christini.

Rob Pinney (2), Gary Ruddock, Tom Strand (2) and Jonathon West earned Vesta FC a 6-2 win over FC Lokomotiv FC Reserves. Locos consolations came from Jonnie Fury and Ben Smith.

The mid-table battle between Northampton Hotspur and Victoria Park Rangers Reserves ended in a 7-2 win for Hotspurs.

Hotspur’s scorers were David Williams, Martin Cafferty, Karl Hoy, Chris Kellett, goalkeeper Glen Smith and Nick Marshall (2), while Rob Allen and Paddy Shannon netted for Rangers.

The clash between Gallery Reserves and Abington Stanley ended in a 4-4 draw.

Jamie Everson, James Mason (2) and Troy Lewis notched for Gallery, with Tomasz Swiergul (2), Max Andrews and Iain Holland-Hay making it all square.
