Police today said they were hunting a pair of thugs who threatened a group of teenagers in Northampton before robbing two of them.

A group of teenagers was walking along the canal path towards the St James Retail Park at about 7pm on Sunday, February 10, when they were approached by two men.

They asked the group if they had any drugs and when the youngsters replied no, the men then threatened them and demanded their personal property.

One of the offenders searched two of the boys and stole a bus pass, mobile phone and keys before walking off over a bridge in the direction of Briar Hill.

Both suspects were white, 6ft and stocky and were wearing white clothing with a black pattern bandana over their faces. One of them was wearing a shiny hooded Adidas coat with a grey emblem.
