Northampton School for Boys match-winner Conor Bullivant admits it is ‘crazy’ to think he and his team-mates will be turning out at Twickenham in less than two weeks’ time.

NSB’s Under-18 rugby team secured a place in the final of the Daily Mail National Schools Cup with a superb 13-10 comeback win against Warwick School on March 2.

The Northampton boys, coached by Mark Lee and Ian Vass, had gone 10-0 down before recovering to book their place at English rugby HQ on Saturday, March 23.

And fly-half Bullivant, who kicked the penalty that set up a showdown with holders Dulwich College, is trying hard to contain his excitement.

“It’s crazy,” said the 16-year-old, who also plays for Northampton Old Scouts.

“If you think about it hard enough it really does hit you.

“We’ve been trying to keep cool heads and just take things day by day, do our lessons and go into training, but we’ve been reminded a lot about where we’re going to be playing.

“We’ve all tried to keep a bit relaxed about it if we can, but the feeling of running out with the boys is just a crazy thought.”

Dulwich College secured their place in the final with an 11-5 win over Hampton School, despite being reduced to 13 men at one stage.
