FORMER Cobblers trialist Michael Hoganson has signed for npower Championship side Derby County.
Hoganson enjoyed a successful spell at Town this summer, shining in pre-season friendlies against Corby Town and Cogenhoe United.
The 18-year-old, who can play left-back or on the left wing, was subsequently offered a one-year deal by Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd.
But Hoganson then opted to play for Derby at Burton Albion on the same day Cobblers took on Chelsea Under 21s, leading Boothroyd to warn the player the contract offer would not be on the table for much longer.
But it mattered not to the ex-Newcastle United player as he will now strut his stuff at Pride Park next season after signing a one-year deal with the Rams.
