KEN PISI says it will be a ‘happy moment’ if he gets the chance to line-up alongside brother George for Saints on Friday.
Pisi could get his first outing in Northampton colours when they take on Zebre in the Vaquerin Challenge match at Millau.
The Samoa international has signed on from New Zealand outfit North Harbour, linking up with his sibling at Franklin’s Gardens.
The brothers have played together before at North Harbour but being named in the same Northampton side will be a new experience.
And the utility back, who is likely to line up on the wing, can’t wait for the on-field Pisi reunion.
“I’m looking forward to it,” said Pisi. “I haven’t played with George in a while and especially in the Saints colours it will be a happy moment.
“Pre season’s been tough so I’m just really looking forward to playing the game on Friday.”
Pisi’s move to Saints was inspired by the performances of George, who was named players’ and supporters’ player of the year at the Gardens last season.
And the Northampton new boy says seeing his sibling doing so well made his move to England much easier.
“George said it was good,” said Pisi. “He said they were a really good bunch of guys and it was a really good environment. That made my decision to come to Saints a bit easier.
“I watched some of his games and we talked over the phone. He’s done well here and hopefully I can do better!”
