SUNDAY COMBINATION: Blisworth’s Curry proves too hot for Sunnyside

James King Blisworth moved level on points with Standens Barn at the top of the premier division thanks to a 9-3 demolition of The Sunnyside.

Matt Curry bagged four, to go with others from Calum Vango, Andy Lovesy, Rossi Arundell, Richard Slater and Wayne Spicer. Sunnyside hit back through Tom Cox and Shane Bouher (2).

Sunnyside Corinthians eased to a 7-0 win against struggling Blakesley, Perry Wells leading the way with a hat-trick. Lewis Reynolds, Elvis Trifon, Ricky Smith and Wes Emery all chipped in with singles.

Ten-man Dynamo secured a 4-1 win over AC Squirrels, with the goals being shared by Ben Diamond and Dean Lukeman.

In division one, Harpole have a healthy lead of seven points at the top after they secured a 6-3 win over Manfield Rangers.

Harpole’s goals on the day came from Josh Winters, Owen Phillips (2), Andrew Phillips, Jez Hindle and Sam McCallum.

AFC Houghton Magna moved to second place with a 5-1 win over St Margaret’s Reserves. Billy Sweeney scored for Maggies but goals from Dan Thomson (3) and Grant Stewart (2) saw all three points go to Magna.

Midshire Electrical suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of FC Polish Champions.

Tim Hanna was on target for Midshire, but Champions triumphed thanks to strikes from Lukasz Kowal and Dominik Niewiarowski.

The mid-table battle between Sunnyside Corinthians and MDS Rangers ended in a 5-3 win for Rangers. Joe Burton, Adam Bazeley, Niall Duffy and Mick Geddes (2) were all on target.

In the NTFA Plester Shield, FC Ryan Munich booked their place in the final with a 3-1 win over Vesta.

Adam Hayes netted for Vesta but a brace from Daniel Duggan and single from Donovan Reed put Munich in the final.

FC Gallery are through to the last four of the Parker Cup thanks to a 3-2 victory over AFC Dee.

Goals from Martin Johnson, Dan Oaks and James Mason ensure Gallery will take on Duston Diamonds for a place in the final.

In division two, Scott Cross hammered home five in Duston & Diamonds’ 9-1 win over Thorplands Club 81 Reserves. Craig Merrick (2), Scott Chilton and Richard Mallard were also on target, Ross Watson scoring Club 81’s only reply.

Second-placed Devonshire Club were another side to score nine in their game with Howdenbeath. Devonshire won 9-0 with goals from James Cox, Perry Whitney, Joe Handley (2), Shane Lyons, Max Payne (3) and Roy Willmott.

JWC Athletic came out on top in an 11-goal thriller with St Margaret’s A, winning 6-5. Darryl Bitch and Delroy Kilborn both struck twice, alongside singles from James Moore and Brett Parry.

Spartak went down 2-1 to second-from-bottom Monks Park WMC. Dean Ainsworth and Elliott Muddiman ensured the points went to Park.

Dan Porter scored an astonishing eight times to lead rampant Roade to a 9-2 win at Outlet Sports. Daniel Goode got the other.

In division three, Golden Horse picked up another three points with a 2-0 victory over Manfield Rangers Reserves. Chris Cowdell and Matthew Gale were both on target in the win.

Crown & Cushion eased to a 4-1 success at Wootton Fields, Grant Murphy (2), Ben Harris and Ryan Elliott all netting.

Luke Wilson scored twice for second-placed FC Locomotiv Moulton as they saw off Zedi United 4-2. Kyle Daniels and Chris Venn also netted.

Nene and Obelisk settled for a point apiece after scrapping out a 3-3 draw. Paul Pearson and Anthony Bell (2) were on the mark for Nene, Phil Sullivan (2) and Steve Smith for Obelisk.

Division four action saw Windmill Warriors claim a 4-2 win over Butcher Loco, while Staples also scored four as they swept aside Royals Reserves 4-1.

Goals from Shaun Walsh (2), Carl White (2), Ash Draper, Dan Davies and Graham Ahearn saw Obelisk Reserves ease to a 7-0 triumph against Victoria Park Rangers.

In division five, Abington Stanley secured their sixth win in a row as Tomasz Swiergul hit a hat-trick in their 5-2 success over The District. Gavin Saunders and Max Andrews added the others for Stanley.

South Northants moved to the top following their 5-3 win against Victoria Park Rangers Reserves. Martin Blackwell (2), Rolla Norton (2) and Ryan Camper all netted for the new league leaders.

Hartwell Forest pipped Thorplands Club 3-2, while Northampton Hotspur and FC Gallery Reserves drew 2-2.

Doubles from Steven Archer, Simon Moore and Chris Adams inspired FC Locomotiv Moulton Reserves to a 7-0 win at the expense of Spring Park.
