It was slow going on day one of Northamptonshire’s two-day pre-season clash with Yorkshire in Barbados.
Having won the toss and elected to bat, Andrew Gale’s side made 266 for four in 93 overs at Windward CC on the east coast of the island.
Alex Lees made 100 and Gale 65, the duo sharing a stand of 152 for the third wicket, before both retired.
The wickets were shared around with Steven Crook, Luke Evans, Lee Daggett and Con de Lange all taking one apiece.
The County will bat on the second day of the game today.
