Yorkshire’s attack held the upper hand on the second day of the pre-season encounter with Northamptonshire in Barbados.
In reply to the Tykes’ 266-4, the County mustered 236 for the loss of 11 wickets before rain brought a premature end to proceedings.
None of the upper order made much of an impression with Alex Wakely’s 36 the best effort from the top six.
Ben Duckett, batting at number eight, top scored with 56 while Lee Daggett contributed 40.
The pick of the Yorkshire bowlers was leg-spinner Adil Rashid who took 4-82 and there were two wickets for former County man Jack Brooks who picked up the scalps of Wakely and Matthew Spriegel on the way to figures of 2-13 from a dozen economical overs.
The County return from the Caribbean this weekend.
