SUNDAY COMBINATION: Squirrels go nuts for Sixfields final

Jamie Ellis struck twice to earn AC Squirrels a place in the Ken Parker Cup final with a 3-1 win over premier division leaders Standens Barn.

Ben Foster struck for Barn but Ellis’s double and one from Ollie Urquhart put Squirrels through to the showpiece final at Sixfields on May 16.

Harpole will be their opponents after sweeping aside FC Polish Champions 7-2 in their semi-final.

Tomasz Semik scored twice for Champions, but the division one high flyers eased into their third cup final of the season with goals from Joe Frost (3), Josh Winters, Owen Phillips, Jez Hindle and Carl Barrick.

The only premier division game to survive the weather was Royals’ clash with Monks Park, ending in a 0-0 stalemate.

Division one action saw Fox & Hounds run riot over eight-man MDS Rangers, winning 16-1.

Chris Aveyard led the way with six strikes, with others coming from Chris Wesley (4), Jacob Gartland (3), Joe Gartland, Michael O’Dwyer and Tom Lugg.

AFC Houghton Magna smashed seven past Sunnyside Corinthians Reserves in a 7-1 success.

Alex Smith fired home a treble, while Danny Thompson scored twice. Paul Dempsey and Dean Humphrey added the others to ensure Magna stay hot on the heels of Harpole

Doubles from Andy Ranft and Sam Dengel led Manfield Rangers Reserves to a 6-3 victory over AFC Dee in division three. Lee Kew and Ray Reeve were also on target for Rangers, Dee replying through Adam Russell, Adam Burton and Aaron O’Leary.

Golden Horse notched another win, recording a 4-1 win at Obelisk United. Carl White netted for the home side but Horse took the points with efforts from Matthew Gale, Gareth Errington and Darren Andrews (2).

James Hind (3), Liam Fox (2) and Steve Addo (2) inspired Billing United to a big 7-1 win over Nene.

In division four, Henry Wright bagged four as Windmill Warriors left AFC Pioneers in a spin after an 11-0 hammering. Ross Jayes (2), Sam Irons (2), Dean Mabee, Dan Stevenson and Philip Allen also netted.

Butcher Loco swept aside Victoria Park Rangers thanks to goals from Chris Moore (3), Joey Dee, Darren Walker and Andrew Eaton, while FC Gallery were indebted to James Mason, who scored four in a 4-1 success over Royals Reserves.

Simon Law and Chris Adams scored two apiece to lead FC Locomotiv Moulton Reserves to victory at Sixfields Rangers.

Chris Sharp scored a consolation for Spring Park as they were beaten 10-1 by Thorplands Club 81 A.
