Officers seized around 50 cannabis plants during a dawn drugs swoop in the village of Brixworth today.
Two people were arrested following the execution of a warrant in Broadlands, Brixworth.
Police say between 40 and 50 cannabis plants were seized and a woman, aged 39, and a man, aged 37, were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
Sergeant Carol Fullerton, from Daventry Proactive Team, said: “We won’t tolerate drugs offences within our communities and are cracking down on those that commit them.
“I’d urge people to contact us if they see anything suspicious in their neighbourhood - for example windows always covered, a pungent smell or a vent protruding from the roof or rear window can indicate that cannabis is being grown.”
The swoop comes after the national charity Crimestoppers identified Northamptonshire as a hotspot area for cannabis factories.
Cannabis ‘scratch and sniff’ cards are to be delivered to home across the county to help people sniff out the signs of drug production facilities.
