Jim Mallinder says scrum-half Lee Dickson will be fit for Saints’ derby showdown with Leicester Tigers on Saturday.
But the game has come too soon for Paul Diggin (knee) and Calum Clark (shoulder), who remain on the recovery trail.
Dickson was replaced by Martin Roberts in the 55th minute of last Saturday’s superb 26-24 success at Wasps.
The England man had suffered a blow to his left eye, but Mallinder has confirmed Dickson will be fit to face the Tigers.
“Lee Dickson’s fine,” said the Saints boss.
“He had a bit of swelling around that eye for a couple of days and he’s still got a bit of bruising but he’s trained fully and he’ll be available.”
Clark has not played since being withdrawn during Saints’ game at Glasgow in January, while wing Diggin has yet to play this season.
And while they are both progressing well, Mallinder says neither of the injured duo will play a part in Saturday’s clash.
“They are close to a return and they’re doing really well but neither of them, unfortunately, will be available for this weekend,” he said.
