A woman has been killed after she was hit by a car while crossing the road in a Northamptonshire town.
Police have this morning revealed a 22-year-old woman from Wellingborough died on Thursday, at around 10.15pm, on the B573 Turnells Mill Lane, in Wellingborough.
She was killed while crossing the road having just parked a silver Ford Focus.
A police spokesman said: “As she walked across the road, she collided with a silver Vauxhall Corsa, travelling in the opposite direction of the parked car.
“Sadly, she received fatal injuries and died at the scene.”
