Pedestrian airlifted to hospital after car collision

An elderly woman was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after being hit by a car which mounted a footpath and hit pedestrians.

The incident happened in Cotton End, Long Buckby, on Friday, March 29. at 2.20pm.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “A silver Peugeot 107 was travelling along the B5385 from Long Buckby towards the A428 when it mounted the footpath and collided with pedestrians.

“One of the pedestrians, a 75-year-old woman from Long Buckby, was airlifted to Walgrave Hospital, Coventry, with serious leg injuries.”

Witnesses or anyone with information can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
