The same man is believed to have attacked two people on the dance floor of a town centre bar, police have said.
Officers have appealed for information following the two attacks, which both happened in the early hours of Easter Sunday in NB’s, in Bridge Street.
A police spokesman said: “An assault occurred between 2.30am and 3am. The victim, a 21-year-old man, was on the dance floor when he was punched to the face.
“The victim sustained a black eye and chipped tooth.
“The second incident occurred at a similar time. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was punched a number of times and sustained a black eye and a cut to the side of his eye.
“Both incidents are believed to be committed by the same offender.”
The attacker was a white man, of a muscular build, with a tattoo on one arm. He was wearing a green polo shirt and was with three men, all of a similar build.
