Report: The Celtic girls faced Cogenhoe in the first round of the league cup. The girls started brightly with Monique scoring to take an early lead, the girls were then quite rightly punished twice from two well-taken corners with none of the girls willing to challenge for the ball. But we then returned to business as normal some fantastic free flowing football from the girls produced five goals three more to Monique and one apiece to Chloe, Maisie and Alicia. Man of the match today went to Monique for a superb performance.

Scorers: Eve Leonard 2, Ami Mann
Team: Dallas Ferguson, Molly Hughes, Courtney Henry, Chloe Southgate, Billie Swift, Hannah Linsley, Eve Leonard, Jodie Taylor, Ami Mann
MOM: Eve Leonard
Report: On a Windy, but warm Sunday morning, Parklands played Corby Hellenic in the League Cup. The wind meant it was never going to be a pretty game to watch, but Parklands handled the conditions better. Eve Leonard scored just before half time after a half of football mostly dominated by Parklands. When Corby did have a chance to attack, it was soon stopped by the Parklands defence. After the break, Parklands again pressed with Ami Mann scoring a good goal with a shot over the keeper’s head. Parklands kept pressing with most of the play in Corby’s half and were rewarded when a penalty was given for handball. Leonard stepped up and placed it in the corner. A good performance by Parklands saw them into the next round of the League Cup.
