Cobblers will have 40,000 fans in the East half of Wembley...and they will play in claret.

The Cobblers will have about 40,000 tickets for the League Two play-off final against Bradford City, the club revealed early today.

Following the Sixfields’ club’s triumph over Cheltenham Town last night, there is likely to be a huge demand for tickets for the showdown at Wembley on May 18.

It will be the club’s first visit to Wembley since the Second Division play-off final against Grimsby Town in 1998.

The club will also be playing in claret on the big day having finished higher up the league than their opponents.

Cobblers fans will be in the East half of the famous stadium and tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and members from 9.30am tomorrow.

Tickets are priced as follows:

Category 5 tickets are £26, £13 concessions

Category 4 tickets are £32, £16 concessions

Category 3 tickets are £38, £19 concessions

Category 2 tickets are £48, £24 concessions

Category 1 tickets are £60, £30 concessions

Concessions are aged 16 and under and aged 65 and over.

The tickets will be sold on Northampton Town’s behalf by Ticketmaster. They will not be available from Sixfields.

Firts in the queue will be 2012/13 season ticket holders and 2012/13 members, (maximum of 9 tickets per person).

The 24/7 telephone hotline which supporters should call is 0844 248 5125. Ticketmaster have been supplied with Northampton Town’s season ticket holders and members database.

Tickets will remain on sale on this basis until 6pm on Wednesday.

From 9.30am on Thursday, tickets will go on general sale to all supporters at a maximum of 9 tickets per person online. A website address will be announced when general sale begins and via the telephone. The 24/7 telephone hotline supporters should call is 0844 248 5125.

Tickets will remain on sale 24 hours a day, every day, until noon on Tuesday, May 14.

There are dedicated family areas at Wembley – the rear of blocks 105 to 108, plus row one on level 5. Supporters should please advise their Ticketmaster operative if they wish to sit in these areas.

A club spokesman added: “Northampton Town are hoping to create a dedicated singing area for supporters who want to encourage the team with vocal backing. These are blocks 111 and 112 and 212. This covers all price points apart from category 1. Again supporters should please advise their Ticketmaster operative if they wish to sit in these areas.”

There are 126 spaces for wheelchair supporters with accompanying carers. These tickets are priced as per the regular ticket price in the relevant areas. Carers are free of charge. Ambulant disabled persons can sit anywhere within the stadium, however there are a number of seats which have step free access that are recommended for persons with mobility difficulties, which are positioned in Level 1 on rows 30/31. Carers are free of charge.

Disabled tickets can be bought by 2012/13 season ticket holders and members from Sixfields from 10am on Thursday, May 9 and will remain on sale to season ticket holders and members only until close of business on Friday, May 10. They will go on general sale from Monday, May 13.

Each ticket sold will attract a £2.50 booking fee per ticket and a £2 postage fee (per transaction)

Parking for supporters and supporters coaches can be bought via www.csparking.com/stadium or 0208 900 2405. Coach parking is charged at £63.50 per coach and car parking is £27.75 per car.

Supporters who travel with Cobblers Travel, Sixfields Travel and the Cobblers Independent Travel Clubs should please contact their travel organisers before purchasing their match tickets.

Kick off for the game against Bradford - who are making their second trip to Wembley this year following their League Cup Final clash with Swansea City - is 1.30pm.
