Rubbish and recycling collection days are about to change for about 30,000 households in Northampton.
Letters are being sent to all affected households to inform them of the changes, which will come into effect on June 10.
Calendars will be delivered during the week of May 20, and final reminders will go out at the end of the month.
Some households will be asked to change the day they put out their rubbish and recycling, and some with wheelie bins will be asked to change the order they put their black and brown bins out, which alternate week to week.
The changes are intended to simplify collections, improve vehicle efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. They will also affect about 1,400 households in Daventry district.
Northampton Borough Council leader, Councillor David Mackintosh (Con, Rectory Farm), said: “We have been working with the new management at Enterprise to look at ways we can improve the waste and recycling service. The round changes are part of this.”
Daventry District Council leader, Councillor Chris Millar, said: “The round changes planned for our district involve a relatively small number properties in places like Moulton, Staverton and Boughton.”
