A workshop on foraging is being held at Bay Tree Cottage in Farthingstone near Towcester on Saturday May 11.

The session will encourage visitors to explore the countryside with an expert forager to discover the abundance of delicious spring plants that are available in hedgerows and woodlands.

Jenny Dicks, from Bay Tree Cottage, said: “Foraging for wild food is fun, but you need to be sure you know what you’re doing and what you are looking for! Our one day Spring Foraging Course is a real eye opener to all the edible plants that are available for the wild food forager to find….a total feast for free.”

The workshop will be run by Geoff Dann, a very keen and knowledgeable forager who has been gathering wild foods around the country for many years.
