A man wearing a balaclava grabbed the arms of two boys and stole their phones as they were walking through a Northampton beauty spot, police revealed today.
The robbery happened in Lings Wood, Northampton, between 7pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 30.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “A group of boys were approached by a man who asked for the time.
“The man then pulled at the arms of two of the boys, who were aged 14, and stole their mobile phones.”
The man is white, between 20 and 25-years-old, about 6ft and with a muscular build.
He had a high pitched voice and wore a black black balaclava, a dark hooded top with stripes on the arms, matching tracksuit trousers and red Vans shoes.
Police have only today released details of the robbery.
