JLB lifted the NTFA NBC Cup for the first time after easing to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Sporting Lings in front of a large crowd at Sixfields.

Frank Maher put JLB in the lead after 11 minutes only for Roman Radocha to level things for Sporting Lings two minutes later.

This signalled an onslaught from JLB and further goals from Dominic Clark, Jordan Casey and the prolific Dan Jennings ensured the prestigious NBC Cup went to JLB.

In the premier division, newly-crowned Champions Delapre Old Boys turned on the style as they romped to a 7-2 triumph against Mereway United.

The league’s leading marksman Gareth Errington found the net on four occasions to go with singles from John Slater, James Dean and player/manager Dave (Geordie) Sinclair.

A double strike from Darren Donovan accounted for Mereway’s retort.

Thorplands Club 81 recorded only their second victory of the season by beating Duston Dynamo 4-2 with Nathan Garafalo helping himself to a well taken hat-trick and Luke Kentish scoring a solo effort leaving Jay Blackwell and Ben Roddis to score Duston’s reply.

Harlequins are making a late run for the runners up spot and they did their chances no harm as they inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Yusen Logistics courtesy of a brace from Ashley Percival and a strike from Ryan Charles-Comery.
