Police have released images of two men who they believe broke into the Most Marvellous Place to Shop, in Northampton, causing thousands of pounds of damage before stealing charity cash.
The break-in happened between 5am and 6.50am on Saturday, March 9.
Detectives say they have only been able to release the images today because the owner of the shop was away on holiday after the raid, setting back the process of releasing the images.
The men caused £5,000 of damage to the Kettering Road, Northampton vintage shop, smashing tills and computer equipment and attempting to flood the building by stuffing towels in sinks and leaving the taps running.
They also stole a safe and a collection box for county breast cancer charity, Crazy Hats - but only managed to steal about £200.
Speaking to the Chronicle & Echo after the break-in, owner Gill Burgess, said: “There are things at the shop which got damaged which we have not managed to replace, but we have muddled through. We used a pen and exercise book for two weeks, with the old carbon receipts.
“I am optimistic they will be caught. Maybe when they see the charity box, one day it will prick their conscience. They may need the charity’s help some time.”
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information regarding it.
Witnesses can call Northamptonshire Police on 101, alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
