Northants Ladies have enjoyed a fine start to the Middle England League season.
The travelled to Whitnash BC in Leamington Spa to take on Warwickshire and returned home with a fine 113-94 success as they picked up 13 points.
They had four winning rinks, with the other two only losing by a total of five shots and that was enough to secure the 19-shot success.
Val Betts’ rink was the highest winning one with a nine-shot advantage, closely followed by the rinks of Margaret McGillivray and Jan Bradley, which all won by seven.
It all added up to a fine team performance.
And they carried on in the same vein when their next match saw them entertain Cambridgeshire at Oundle BC.
But this time the victory was even more emphatic as the visitors were beaten by a massive 46-shot margin.
With just one losing rink, and that being by just three, it was a comprehensive success.
Brenda Bishop’s rink stood out as they won by a huge 22 shots.
The 133-87 success ensured the County claimed 15 points while the visitors went back home with just two.
