Kingsthorpe’s Kris Spence and Jake Croxford were in magnificent form as they both recorded 8&6 wins during their Scratch League Division Two home clash with Rushden as the team triumphed 5-3.
Rushden, who had lost their three away games this season, started well as Nick Statham and Chris Adams collected the opening two points.
With Spence and Croxford wasting little time in levelling up the score, Steve Jackson and Jason Spence put Kingsthorpe within touching distance of victory with wins on the 17th hole.
Lewis Miller maintained Rushden’s hopes of a draw with a 2&1 success, but Jack Walding got the better of Simon Cox down the last to seal the home victory.
Collingtree have yet to taste defeat since their promotion in 2012 after overcoming Kettering 5-3 at home.
Andy Castell (two holes), Aidan Rosling (4&3), Andy Billson (3&2) and Dan Messom (6&5) moved Collingtree into an unbeatable position, before Jamie Ashcroft (one hole) and Rob Stevenson (4&3) replied.
Although Michael Campbell added another Kettering point against Ray Connolly, it was only after Brendon Moss had sealed victory for Collingtree by beating Nick Keech on the 17th hole.
In division one, Wellingborough made it three wins out of four matches this season with an impressive 6-2 home victory over defending champions Peterborough Milton.
Jamie Milligan and Adam Sherlock secured the first two points on the 14th green, before Chris Billson made it 3-0 to the hosts with a 2&1 success against Sam Hughes.
Although Ian Symonds and Phil Hughes got Milton on the scoreboard, it only delayed the inevitable as Jon Harris (2&1) and Ryan Connolly (5&4) confirmed the home victory.
Kyson Lloyd completed the Wellingborough scoring as he drove the 18th green to set up a one-hole win against Adrian Firman in the final tie.
Farthingstone maintained their unbeaten record this season as they grabbed a 4-4 draw at Whittlebury Park in division three.
Sam Bird (one hole), Matt Hodgkiss (5&3) and Paul Hodgkiss (2&1) enjoyed wins, while George Briar and Ian Donald secured half points for the visitors.
In division four, the battle of the two unbeaten sides in the lower section went the way of Cherwell Edge as they completed a 5½-2½ home victory over Oundle.
Although the hosts won three points with relative ease, Oundle were always in the contest as Joel Tadman won 3&2, while four of the remaining five ties reached the final green.
Steve Oldham was also successful for the visitors but a half for Gary Rice was the only other positive for Oundle as Graham Collett and Ben Anderson sealed the Cherwell victory with one-hole wins.
