A giant mosaic of Northampton’s very own Doctor Who, Matt Smith, will be created at a special LEGO weekend at the National Space Centre in Leicester later this month.
The space centre has joined forces with the Brickish Association to stage an exhibition of LEGO dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. The giant mosaic will be built with the help of visitors to the centre on June 22 and 23.
A spokesman for the space centre said there would also be talks on building with LEGO and the history of the iconic brick.
“Smaller visitors, or even the big ones who just love LEGO, can sit down at the building tables and just get creative.
“A giant Saturn 5 Rocket, the International Space Station and an Alien Attack are just a few of the amazing pieces that have been created by the Brickish Association, a UK-based community of LEGO Fans who work with LEGO to build some of the most amazing structures from the iconic bricks,” he said.
