Vandals spray-painted a lamb and urinated on it after daubing racist graffiti on a shed at a newly-opened village park.
The incident at Cotton End Park, in Long Buckby, happened on Sunday, June 9.
After spraying the sheep shed, the vandals then caught one of the young sheep, sprayed it purple, and urinated on it.
Nick Hudson, vice-chairman of the Cotton End Park committee, said: “If you know who committed this wanton act of animal cruelty, I urge you to report the matter to either their parents, the Cotton End Park committee or to the police.”
