A rucksack containing “potentially dangerous” prescription drugs was stolen from the boot of a car in Northampton, police have warned.
The theft happened from a vehicle parked in Saddlers Square, in Southfields, on Tuesday, July 2.
A police spokesman said: “The car was parked outside the victim’s house, where he was going back and forth to the car from his house to put items in the boot. He left the car unattended for a short while and some time between 1.30pm and 1.45pm a black rucksack was stolen from the boot of the vehicle.
“The rucksack contained folic acid, asprin and paracetamol, together with a quantity of prescription drugs, including Oramorth, Prograf, Azathiopriprine, Lansoprazole, Gabapentin, Levothyroxine, Mirtazapine, Lofepramine and Adcal.
“These are potentially dangerous drugs and should not be taken without a prescription.”
Anybody who finds them is asked to hand them in at their local police station.
