Two raiders wearing ski masks attacked a man with a tack hammer in a violent robbery in Northampton.
Police have revealed the robbery happened yesterday at around 10.30pm in Nursery Lane, in St David’s, when 56-year-old man answered a knock at his front door.
Two men, wearing masks, walked into his house demanding money.
One of them hit him with a tack hammer and stole his wallet. They then left the house and ran away towards Yelvertoft Road.
The first offender is described as a stocky Afro-Caribbean man in his mid -20s, wearing a short black coat and a black ski mask.
The other is described as a 5ft 7in Afro-Caribbean man, aged between 30 and 35, of thin build and with “bad teeth”.
He was wearing a black ‘Puffa’ style jacket, black trousers and a black ski mask.
