Six men and two boys face burglary charges after raids across Northampton

Six men and two boys have appeared in court to face burglary charges following raids across Northampton.

Police swooped on a 13 properties in Northampton last Wednesday, charging 12 people with burglary and drugs offences, in an operation led by around 80 police officers.

Northamptonshire Police today said a quantity of drugs and various items of property were seized during the raids.

Last week, six men, aged between 21 and 42, and two teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, all from Northampton, appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court.

Patrick McMonigle, aged 23, of Newstone Crescent, Briar Hill, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal. He was remanded in custody.

Curtis Bryant, aged 22, of Knaphill Crescent, Briar Hill, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal. He was remanded in custody.

Jeffrey George, aged 42, of Eastfield Road, Duston, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug. He was remanded in custody.

Stuart Neal, aged 25, of Derngate, Northampton town centre, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

Callum Gordon, aged 23, of Benjamin Square, Camp Hill, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

John Lavelle, aged 21, of Blisworth Close, was charged with handling stolen goods. All three were released on bail.

A 14-year-old boy was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal. A 16-year-old boy was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal and possession of a controlled drug.

Two men and two women were also charged and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
