Police officers have handed out leaflets to neighbours of suspected murder victim Giuseppe Miceli who was found dead in his Northampton home on Saturday.
Officers patrolled down Bants Lane this morning handing out flyers to people which appealed for witnesses who may have seen a man in his late 30s or early 40s “acting suspiciously, changing or disposing of clothing or other property”.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious between 11.30am on Friday, which was the last time he was seen alive, and 1.45pm on Saturday, when he was found by his brother.
Mr Miceli died as a result of head injuries.
Detective Superintendent Kate Meynell, who is leading the investigation, said: “The investigation is in its early stages and we are still trying to identify the exact circumstances of Mr Miceli’s death.
“People may not have realised what they saw was relevant and we would ask them to come forward.”
