Three boys, all aged 15, have been arrested after a 16-year-old was threatened and then robbed outside a shop in Duston.
The trio were arrested on suspicion of a robbery following an incident in Limehurst Square, last night, at around 7.55pm.
The boys, from Delapre, Kingsthorpe and Kings Heath, were arrested within minutes of the robbery and remain in custody at the Criminal Justice Centre, in Brackmills.
Detectives say the 16-year-old victim was forced to hand over his mobile phone outside the shops in Limehurst Square.
The boy was threatened by one of the robbers, who then ran off in the direction of Newton Road, while another rode off on a BMX bike with a “distinctive pink front wheel”.
Two of the boys were arrested by Duston Safer Community Team officers in Newton Road and Clipston Way within 15 minutes of the offence. The third was arrested near his Kings Heath home later that night.
