Firefighters were called to a field near an elderly care village in Northampton after a large hedge and grassland caught fire.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at a field off St Thomas Street, near St Crispin Village, at about 5.50pm yesterday.
Fire crews found 100 metres of hedgerow had caught fire as well as grassland and proceeded to extinguish the flames.
They took about half an hour to make the area safe.
