There will be a Northampton Saints rugby theme at the Friends Life t20 quarter-final on Tuesday.
A number of the squad from Franklin’s Gardens will be in attendance for the clash with Durham at the County Ground.
And to add an extra twist, Dylan Hartley will be ringing the bell prior to the start of the game and coach Jim Mallinder will be tossing the coin.
Chief executive David Smith said: “It’s good that we’ve got the Saints lads coming down and I know that a lot of them like their cricket.
“It’s fantastic to see the three professional clubs in the town doing well and Jim (Mallinder) and Aidy (Boothroyd, Cobblers manager) have been very supportive.”
With regards to ticket sales for the game, the first knockout game to be staged at the County’s headquarters for four years, Smith stated that they are progressing nicely.
He added: “They’ve been selling well but there are still some left. The forecast is good and we anticipate it being a very busy night.”
