A teenager was punched and then robbed in an attack in Northampton, police have said.
Officers this morning appealed for witnesses following the robbery, which took place between 10.30pm and 10.40pm on Friday.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was walking along Foxcovert Road, in Overstone Lodge, when he was approached by two men, who “appeared to be drunk”.
One of the men asked the victim if he could use his phone. However, when he said no he was punched to the face, knocking him to the floor.
He dropped his mobile phone, which one of the offenders picked up, before both men ran off in the direction of Entwood Drive.
The first man was a black, around 5ft 7in, in his late teens, with a beard and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with white writing on.
The second was also a black man, around 5ft 11in and was wearing a red hooded top.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may recognise the description of the offenders.
