Josh Crawley hit a hat-trick as Long Buckby thrashed Newport Pagnell 6-1 to record their first win of the season.

The victory capped a remarkable turnaround for Phil Mason’s men, who were hammered 5-0 by Spalding on Saturday.

A great start by the Bucks saw Aaron Donaldson put them ahead just two minutes in.

The lead was doubled by Crawley after nine minutes.

Three minutes later Newport were awarded a penalty but Bucks keeper James Broadbent saved the spot kick.

Newport did cut the deficit after 38 minutes with a far post header by John Thorpe.

Crawley scored his second goal of the night two minutes after the restart.

Jean Dakouri joined the spree six minutes past the hour mark.

Crawley completed his second hat-trick of the season with an 83rd-minute penalty and recent recruit Dan Bucciero completed the home tally two minutes from the end.

Tom McGowan’s late goal sealed Cogenhoe United the points in a 2-1 win at Harborough.

Joe Wright’s 20-yard lob gave Harborough the lead after 33 minutes.

Within a minute Cogenhoe were on level terms, Steve Blackwood and McGowan setting up the leveller for Tom Liversedge.

Cogenhoe won it 10 minutes from time, McGowan netting with a diving header.

Kevin Byrne got the better of Scott Goodwin in the battle of two new managers as Stewarts & Lloyds beat Sileby Rangers 1-0.

A Danny Pownall goal 10 minutes from time earned the Foundrymen their first win of the campaign.
