Two parents and their children were threatened by three masked burglars armed with knives during a raid in Northampton last night.
The three men barged into a home in Arbour Court, Lumbertubs at around 9.30pm, where they then threatened two adults and four children inside.
The men, who are believed to have had two knives and were wearing balaclavas, then fled with a laptop and mobile phone.
The first offender is described as a white man, tanned skin, 6ft tall, medium build, in his 20s or younger, wearing black clothing and a black balaclava.
The second was also a white male, 5ft 7ins tall, slim build, late teens, dark clothing and was carrying a black backpack.
The third man was white and was also wearing a black balaclava.
A police spokesman said: “We believe this was an isolated incident and would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“Thankfully nobody was injured during this terrible incident and we would urgently like to identify the offenders responsible.”
