A teenager was punched in the face in an apparent road rage incident.
The 19-year-old woman was attacked last Thursday, in Eastern Way at around 5.40pm, while she was driving near the Southbrook Estate in Daventry.
A silver or light blue coloured Ford Focus behind her began tailgating her, sounding its horn and flashing its lights.
She then pulled over and the car behind stopped, the man driving it got out, began shouting at her and then punched her in the face.
A woman in the second car shouted for the man to get back into the car, and the pair then drove off into the Southbrook estate.
The attacker was a white man, aged between 20 and 25, around 6ft, medium build with short dark coloured hair.
The woman in the car was white, aged between 19 and 25, around 5ft, of medium build and had shoulder length dark brown hair.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
