A WOMAN was punched in the face during a robbery in which her handbag was stolen.
The attack happened in Stimpson Avenue, Northampton, on Sunday, November 4, between 8pm and 8.30pm, near Perry Street.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The 53-year-old woman was approached from behind and her handbag stolen.
“In stealing the handbag, the offender also punched the woman in the face, causing some minor injuries.”
The man is about 6ft, slim and wore a grey zip-up jacket and blue jeans or black trousers.
