COMBINATION ROUND-UP: Drayton hit the goal trail to batter Mounts

Two sides reached double figures in matches against Town League opposition in the NTFA NBC Cup.

Drayton Grange thumped Upper Mounts 13-1 while Borough Alliance smashed 10 past Yusen Logistics.

Pete Davis got three as Corby United put five past Thorpelands 81.

FC Higham squeezed past Duston Dynamo 3-2 and Walgrave too progressed against Spartak.

Hellenic Fisher, Desborough & Rothwell and Gleneagles all crashed out to Town League opposition.

Albion Vikings and Higham Town produced upsets, defeating higher division opposition.

Richard Charlton scored the only goal of the game for Higham Town who eliminated West Haddon Great Doddington while the Vikings knocked out Division Three side Great Doddington.

Ben Drinkwater and Paul Currier scored two apiece for Weedon in the 4-0 win over Kettering Park Rovers.

Wilbarston can count themselves unlucky after slipping to defeat against Ferrers, with Jack Thurston scoring twice for the hosts who were eliminated 5-4.

Nicky Musgrove scored for SPA in the win over Kingswood, while AFC Rothwell needed penalties to beat Grange Park Rangers.

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Premier Division

Ross Arundell scored twice for 10-man Blisworth to see the Tunnelmen home to victory against Weldon and retain top spot.

Milton fell away after losing to Moulton, allowing Brixworth, Welford and their opponents to climb above them.

Craig Cassidy scored the only goal to give Welford the win against Kettering Nomads to move second.

Andy Priest scored twice as Brixworth battered Stanion Quantum Print 7-1.

Edward Reece opened the scoring for Roade who built on last week’s success to defeat Pegasus 5-2.

Josh Winters scored three for Harpole in the 7-0 mauling of Khalsa, while there were two goals apiece for Aiden Marshall and Danny Jackson as Ringstead beat Heyford 5-2.

Stephen Millar was the standout performer for Everards scoring four times in the big win over Burton United.

Team-mate Jason Crombie added a brace.

Dallie Mandson scored twice in consolation for the Kettering side. Both Ise Lodge and Wootton enjoyed away wins over Stanwick and Kislingbury respectively.

David Hamilton scored the crucial third goal to put Redstar through against Old Grammarians.

Tyrone Hicks scored twice for Wilby who put five past Spratton, while Daventry Comms scored four times against Strip Mills.

Craig Green opened the scoring for Wollaston in the derby success against Rising Sun.

Rothenberger Tools Division Two

Corby Eagles and Clipston drew 2-2.

Duston Garage (Great Wall Cars) Reserve Premier Division

Bugbrooke A continued their inexorable march towards the title by defeating Nomads 8-3.

Brixworth, Weldon and Blisworth all sit six points behind the Badgers.

Brixworth claimed second spot after defeating ON Chenecks A and seeing Weldon fall to defeat against Blisworth.

Dale Lewis scored twice for Blisworth in the narrow victory over Weldon.

Sam Minnelli scored twice to move Milton off the bottom of the table with victory over Ringstead.

Moulton dropped to the bottom following Milton’s win and their misery was further compounded by defeat to Roade.

Ali Foote scored twice for Roade who eased to a 4-1 win. Jordan Richards scored three for Spencer in the win over Pegasus. The Corby side remain unable to escape the vortex at the bottom.

Old Grammarians moved ahead of Weldon A and into second place with a win over Orchard Park Reserves.

Weldon slipped to defeat against Earls Barton.

Everards climbed off the foot of the table after winning the basement battle with Heyford.

Steve Skinner scored twice in the victory. Wootton and Welford both climbed above Kislingbury after the latter’s victory.

Ash Gale scored twice for Wootton in the win over Medbourne, while Andy Cowper scored six of the Welford goals against Kislingbury.

Duston Garage (Great Wall Cars) Reserve Division Two

Blain Stillman scored twice against Higham Town to keep Wilby on top of the pile ahead of Wollaston and Harborough.

Wollaston were winners against West Haddon while Harborough had four different scorers against Spratton.

Craig Hall and Robert Bradshaw scored two apiece for Redstar as Volta returned to losing ways once again.

Lewis Gates got the winner for Stanwick against Strip Mills, while Titchmarsh beat Hellenic Fisher.

NFA Area Cup

Corby Locos Reserves exited the competition following heavy defeat to ICA sports of Peterborough.
