Sileby Rangers boss Glenn Botterill is targeting a place in the final of this season’s NFA Junior Cup.

But he has warned his players not to underestimate James King Blisworth in the third-round clash on Saturday.

Sileby travel to the Northants Combination table-toppers flying high in UCL Division One after winning nine of their 11 league games so far.

But Botterill’s men recently suffered defeat in the League Cup to Rothwell Corinthians and the manager is eager to avoid another slip up.

“It’s going to be a difficult game,” said the Sileby supremo. “I don’t know much about them but they are top of the Combination and they’re not top of the league for nothing.

“I’ve spoken to a couple of people who’ve played against them and they’re not too bad.

“We could come unstuck if we don’t take it seriously and I don’t want to go out of this competition because our objective is to go on and get to the final.”

Elsewhere in the Junior Cup, Spencer take on Bugbrooke St Michael’s, while UCL Division One side ON Chenecks are in league action as they host Wellingborough Whitworth.

COGENHOE UNITED

Liversedge off to Loughborough

Cogenhoe United have been dealt a blow as star striker Tom Liversedge has left the club to join Northern League side Loughborough Dynamo.

Liversedge is top scorer for the UCL Premier Division Cooks this season, netting 11 goals in just nine starts.

But he couldn’t resist the chance to move on to a higher level, and wished the club well on social networking side Twitter.

He tweeted: “Enjoyed playing for the Cooks n Marksy (Cogenhoe boss Andy Marks). Be back one day I’m sure! #topclub #topgaffa.”

Boss Marks has since moved to bolster his squad as defender Dean Lukeman is back at Compton Park after a spell at UCL Division One side Sileby Rangers.

And Lukeman could make his first start since returning to the club when the Cooks host Spalding United this Saturday.

Elsewhere in the premier division, Long Buckby will look to get the better of Yaxley for the second Saturday running as they travel to the team they beat 3-2 at Station Road last weekend.
